| Genetic diversity, correlation analysis, path analysis, and regression analysis are fundamental tools for developing innovative breeding programs aimed at improving desirable varieties and traits. To evaluate the relationships between traits affecting economic traits and identify habitats as natural potentials in western Iran, we conducted tests on samples from 4 Peganum harmala habitats using a randomized complete-block design. Some of the correlation results indicated a strong correlation between the fresh weight and dry weight of a single stem (0.986**) and between the fresh weight and dry weight of the whole plant (0.856**). Step-by-step regression analysis for the dry yield of the whole plant as the dependent variable revealed that stem height, number of leaves, and number of flowers per plant were successively included in the model. With a cumulative coefficient of determination of 93.6%, these traits explained most of the changes in the dry yield of the whole plant. In the path analysis, stem height was found to have the most direct effect on the dry yield of the whole plant (0.747). Therefore, these traits can be effectively utilized to increase the dry yield of the whole plant. Introduction Peganum harmala L., commonly known as pecan, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Nitrariaceae family and is renowned for its medicinal properties (Aslam et al., 2014). This plant yields valuable alkaloids, such as harmaline, harmine, and harman, as well as phenolic compounds, which have been utilized in the treatment of various ailments, including cancer, epilepsy, heart disease, mental illnesses, chronic headaches, kidney stones, and memory loss (Roostaei, 2018; Li et al., 2017). Researchers, such as Kakaei and Mazahery-Laghab (2014), have emphasized the significance of studying individual traits and their effects on genetic diversity since a thorough understanding of germplasm diversity is crucial for successful breeding programs. Identifying correlations between influential and less important traits facilitates the analysis of previous results and lays the groundwork for effective future projects. Consequently, the correlation between important and less important traits aids scientists and researchers in indirect selection for desirable traits through less important ones (Kakaei et al., 2015; Saki Nejad & Seyedmohammadi, 2011). In their research, Kakaei & Mazaheri Laghab (2023) highlighted the value of statistical methods, such as regression analysis, correlation analysis, and path analysis, in elucidating the nature of traits when studying different alfalfa ecotypes. Given the agricultural significance of the medicinal plant of pecan, future studies evaluating these traits using statistical methods, including correlation analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis, will be warranted. Materials & Methods To investigate the morphological characteristics of pecan plants from 4 different locations in the western provinces of Iran, including Hamadan and Kermanshah, an experiment was conducted by using a randomized complete block design with 3 replications in 2023. Initially, pecan plant samples were collected simultaneously in July 2023 and then identified, prepared as herbarium sheets, and subjected to morphological examination by consulting floristic sources (El-Hadidi, 1972; Akhyani, 1993). The study focused on the ecotypes of pecan found in these locations, examining traits, such as pecan chlorophyll index (measured using a Chlorophyll Meter Model SPAD-502 Plus), stem height, number of flowers per plant, number of leaves, number of branches per stem, number of nodes, number of branches per plant, fresh weight of the whole plant, dry weight of a single stem, fresh weight of a single stem, dry weight of the whole plant, and stem diameter. Statistical analyses, including simple phenotypic correlation using pearson's coefficient method, regression analysis employing a step-by-step method to identify important traits, and path analysis to determine direct and indirect effects of traits, were conducted. The values entered in the regression model as the independent variables on the attributes of economic yield as the dependent variables were analyzed using statistical software SPSS, version 21 and SAS, version 9 (Rahnamaie Tak et al., 2007). Research Findings Phenotypic Correlation Results In pearson's correlation analysis, plant height exhibited a positive and significant correlation with the number of branches (0.781**), fresh weight of the whole plant (0.849**), and dry weight of the whole plant (0.924**). This indicated that plant height could influence the number of branches, as well as the fresh and dry weights of the whole plant. Furthermore, the number of flowers per plant showed a positive and significant correlation with the number of leaves (0.735**), the fresh weight of a single stem (0.95**), and the dry weight of a single stem (0.901**). Additionally, the number of branches was found to significantly affect the fresh weight of the whole plant (0.724**) and the dry weight of the whole plant (0.697**). Moreover, the fresh weight of a single stem was strongly correlated with the dry weight of a single stem (0.986**) and the fresh weight of the whole plant was similarly correlated with the dry weight of the whole plant (0.856**). This suggested that an increase in the fresh weight of a single stem could lead to a corresponding increase in the dry weight of a single stem. Stepwise Regression Analysis The stepwise regression analysis for the dry yield of the whole plant as the dependent variable revealed that the traits of stem height, number of leaves, and number of flowers per plant were successively included in the model. With a cumulative coefficient of determination of 93.6%, these traits accounted for the majority of changes in the dry yield of the whole plant. The other evaluated traits did not exhibit a significant effect on the model at the 5% probability level. Discussion of Results & Conclusion In the realm of plant biology, understanding the various traits, as well as their functions and interplay, is crucial for advancing research initiatives. This study revealed that an increased number of flowers per plant would lead to the development of more stems and leaves, resulting in higher dry and wet weights for the plant. Notably, the number of leaves and nodes directly impacted the fresh and dry weights of individual stems. This relationship was attributed to the correlation between stem count (side branches) and leaf production. Investigating trait correlations is pivotal for evaluating improvement programs as it sheds light on the influence of one trait on others of interest. Recognizing these correlations facilitates the analysis of previous studies and informs the design of future interdisciplinary projects with specific objectives (Kakaei & Mazaheri Laghab, 2015). مقدمه اسپند (Peganum harmala L.) بهعنوان یک گیاه دارویی از تیره قرهداغیان (Nitrariaceae)، گیاهی چندساله، پایا و علفی است (Aslam et al., 2014). با توجه به اینکه استخراج آلکالوئیدهای گیاهی کاربردهای وسیع درمانی دارند و تولید آنها از روشهای شیمیایی بسیار پرهزینه است، از گیاهان دارویی نظیر اسپند استفاده میشود. یکی از با ارزشترین فرآوردههای حاصل از این گیاه آلکالوئیدهایی شامل هارمالین، هارمین، هارمان و غیره (Roostaei, 2018) و ترکیبات فنلی است که در درمان بسیاری از بیماریها ازجمله سرطان، بیماری صرع، بیماری قلبی، بیماریهای روانی، سردردهای مزمن، سنگ کلیه و از دست دادن حافظه کاربرد دارد (Li, et al., 2017). سعیدی و همکاران در پژوهشی خصوصیات ریختشناسی اکوتیپهای گونههای ختمی تحت شرایط رویشی متفاوت را بررسی و از تجزیههای آماری ساده و چندمتغیره برای تبیین این مطالعه استفاده کردند (Saeidi et al., 2021). در پژوهش دیگری، نجفیزاده و همکاران در مطالعه تنوع ژنتیکی نسترن کوهی با کمک تجزیههای آماری چندمتغیره اعلام کردند تنوع موجود در بین صفات ثابت میکند ارزیابی صفات مورفولوژیکی برگ و تنه و صفات بیوشیمیایی گیاه در کنار سایر خصوصیات میوه به مطالعه تنوع ژنتیکی این گیاه برای برنامههای اصلاحی آتی کمک میکند (Najafzadeh et al., 2019). درواقع، تجزیه همبستگی ساده ارتباط صفات با یکدیگر و بهویژه ارتباط صفات با صفت مهم عملکرد را نشان میدهد؛ اما این واقعیت مهم را ظاهر نمیکند که کدام صفت در عملکرد نقش مهمتری دارد (Ghaderi et al., 2008). کاکایی و مظاهری لقب در پژوهشی بیان کردند مطالعه دقیق صفات و اثرگذاری تکتک آنها در مطالعه تنوع ژنتیکی درخور توجه دانشمندان علوم زیستی بوده است؛ زیرا ارزیابی دقیق تنوع ژرمپلاسم اساس یک برنامه اصلاحی موفق است (Kakaei & Mazahery laghab, 2014). در حقیقت، تجزیه و تحلیل آماری ابزارهای مطلوبی در شناسایی و وصف روابط بین صفات هستند. معینکردن چگونگی تأثیر صفات مستقل بر صفت وابسته، معینکردن سهم هر صفت در تنوع کل، گروهبندیکردن صفات و نیز کاهش حجم متغیرهای اصلی در قالب مؤلفههای جدید ازجمله موارد کاربردی این روشها هستند (Ghaderi et al., 2008). بهطور کلی، وجود همبستگی بین صفات در ارزیابی برنامههای اصلاحی مفید است. به عبارت دیگر، وقتی انتخاب برای صفتی انجام میگیرد که اطلاعاتی از نحوه اثر آن بر سایر صفات صورت گرفته باشد. همچنین اطلاع از وجود همبستگی بین صفات تأثیرگذار و با اهمیت، تجزیه و تحلیل نتایج بهدستآمده قبلی را آسانتر کرده است و مبنای برنامهریزی طرحهای اثرگذار را در آینده ایجاد میکند؛ بنابراین، همبستگی بین صفات با اهمیت و کماهمیت، دانشمندان و محققان بهنژادی را در انتخاب غیرمستقیم برای صفات مناسب از طریق صفات کماهمیتتر یاری میکند (Kakaei et al., 2015 Saki Nejad & Sayemohamadi, 2011;). کاکایی و همکاران در مطالعه ارتباط بین صفات با یکدیگر در گیاه نخود اعلام کردند یکی از اهداف بهنژادی شناسایی صفاتی است که اثر مستقیم و غیرمستقیم معنیدار بر صفت عملکرد اقتصادی دارند (Kakaei et al., 2015)؛ بنابراین، ارزیابی صفات ازطریق تجزیههای همبستگی و رگرسیون گامبهگام بین سایر صفات و صفت عملکرد ضرورت دارد. درواقع پارامتر مسیر، عامل همبستگی را به اجزای خود تقسیم میکند؛ بنابراین، یکی از مؤلفهها ضریب مسیر یا به اصطلاح رگرسیون استانداردشدة جزئی است که تأثیر مستقیم و غیرمستقیم عامل تأثیرگذار بر عامل وابسته را ازطریق عامل تأثیرگذار دیگر اندازهگیری میکند (Cruz & Carneiro, 2003). در پژوهشی نظرپور و همکاران در مطالعه صفات مورفولوژیکی اسپند اعلام کردند مرتعیبودن گیاه اسپند بهعنوان پوشش گیاهی ارزشمند، ایفای وظیفه مهم در بازسازی اکوسیستم محلی و همچنین وجود ترکیبات دارویی با ارزش نظیر هارمالین و هارمان دلیل بسیار محکمی بر گسترش کاشت گیاه است و همچنین بیان کردند نسبت کلروفیل a به bو ترکیبات فنلی در شرایط تنش شوری افزایش یافته و از این طریق قادر به تحمل شرایط تنش شوری بوده است (Nazarpoor et al., 2020). در پژوهشی کاکایی و همکاران در مطالعه صفات پنبه زراعی با استفاده از تجزیه رگرسیون گامبهگام اعلام کردند صفت عملکرد پنبه دانه، بهعنوان متغیر وابسته نشان داد دو صفت وزن غوزه و عملکرد وش، بهعنوان مطلوبترین صفت اثرگذار بر عملکرد پنبه دانه، قادر بودند 08/95 درصد از تغییرات این متغیر وابسته را توجیه کنند (Kakaei et al., 2017). با وجود اینکه آنالیز همبستگی بین عملکرد اقتصادی و دیگر صفات، اهمیت نسبی و ارزش آنها را بهعنوان معیارهای گزینش تعیین میکند، محاسبه ضرایب همبستگی صفات با یکدیگر تنها ارتباط خطی بین آنها را نمایان میکند؛ درحالیکه در روش تجزیه علیت، سهم هریک از اثرات مستقیم و غیرمستقیم آنها را برآورد میکند. در حقیقت، تعیین اثرات مستقیم و غیرمستقیم صفات گوناگون بر عملکرد در انتخاب و ترتیب صفات به بهنژادگران کمک میکند (Entesari et al., 2015 Kakaei et al., 2017;). کاکایی و همکاران در مطالعه اکوتیپهای مختلف یونجه با کمک تجزیه رگرسیون، تجزیه همبستگی و تجزیه علیت اعلام کردند این روشهای آماری بسیار ارزشمند برای تفکیک ماهیت صفات هستند و روابط بین صفات را با کمک این تجزیههای آماری مشخص کردند (Kakaei et al., 2023). با توجه به اهمیت گیاه دارویی اسپند ازنظر صفات زراعی، مطالعه پیش رو برای ارزیابی این صفات با استفاده از روشهای آماری شامل تجزیه همبستگی، تجزیه رگرسیون و تجزیه علیت است.
مواد و روشها مواد گیاهی برای بررسی ویژگیهای مورفولوژیکی چهار مکان رویش گیاه اسپند، آزمونی با آرایش طرح بلوکهای کامل تصادفی در سه تکرار در سال 1402 انجام گرفت. در این پژوهش، صفات ریختشناسی مربوط به چهار محل رویش شامل سه مکان در نقاط مختلف شهر اسدآباد (استان همدان) شامل روستای موسیآباد 1 با شماره هرباریومی بهترتیب برای هر سه نمونه انتخابشده 1-264، 2-264 و 3-264، روستای موسیآباد 2 با شماره هرباریومی بهترتیب برای هر سه نمونه انتخابشده 1-265، 2-265 و 3-265 و روستای نجفآباد با شماره هرباریومی بهترتیب برای هر سه نمونه انتخابشده 1-266، 2-266 و 3-266 و مکان چهارم در شهر کنگاور (استان کرمانشاه) شامل روستای کارخانه با شماره هرباریومی بهترتیب برای هر سه نمونه انتخابشده 1-267، 2-267 و 3-267 واقع در بخش غربی ایران ارزیابی شدند. در هر رویشگاه تعداد سه نمونه بهصورت تصادفی انتخاب شدند. ابتدا نمونههای گیاهی اسپند بعد از جمعآوری بهطور همزمان (اوایل تیرماه 1402)، خشک و سپس تهیه شیتهای هرباریومی و بررسی مورفولوژیکی با مراجعه به منابع فلورستیکی شناسایی شدند (El-Hadidi, 1972; Akhyani 1993). شیتهای نمونههای گیاهی در هرباریوم دانشگاه پیامنور نگهداری میشوند. در این مطالعه برای اکوتیپهای شناساییشده اسپند در محلهای ذکرشده صفات شاخص کلروفیل اسپند (با کمک دستگاه کلروفیلمتر مدل SPAD-502 Plus)، ارتفاع ساقه، تعداد گل در بوته، تعداد برگ، تعداد شاخه در ساقه، تعداد گره، تعداد شاخه در هر بوته، وزن تر کل بوته، وزن خشک تک ساقه، وزن تر تک ساقه، وزن خشک کل بوته و قطر ساقه بررسی شدند (جدول 1).

ارزیابیهای آماری تجزیه و تحلیلهای آماری شامل همبستگی ساده فنوتیپی با استفاده از روش ضریب پیرسون، تجزیه و تحلیل رگرسیون با روش گامبهگام برای شناسایی صفات با اهمیت و اثرگذار بر عملکرد اقتصادی، تجزیه و تحلیل علیت برای تعیین اثرات مستقیم و غیرمستقیم صفات با ارزش واردشده در مدل رگرسیونی بهعنوان متغیر مستقل بر صفات عملکرد اقتصادی بهعنوان متغیر وابسته با کمک نرمافزارهای آماری SPSS نسخه 21 و SAS نسخه 9 صورت گرفت (Rahnamaie Tak et al., 2007). ضریب همبستگی پیرسون مبتنی بر کوواریانس دو متغیر و انحراف معیار آنها منظم شده است که در خصوص دادههایی با مقیاس فاصلهای و نسبی (دادههای کمی) استفاده شد (Farshadfar, 2005). سطح معنیداری آزمونها 1 درصد در نظر گرفته شد. برای ارزیابی اثرات نسبی موجود در بین صفات با صفت وابسته عملکرد اقتصادی (عملکرد دانه) از روش تجزیه رگرسیون چندمتغیره گامبهگام استفاده شد (Marjani, 1995). این روش تنها اثر و رابطه همبستگی متغیرهای مستقل مهم را با متغیر وابسته نمایش میدهد؛ اما رابطه بین خود متغیرهای مستقل محاسبه نمیشود (Rezaei, 1998). بهمنظور پیبردن به همبستگی بین خود متغیرها میتوان از همبستگیهای ساده استفاده کرد؛ اما در این روش چنین نقصی وجود دارد که تغییرات یک متغیر با متغیر دیگر بدون احتساب اثرات موجود دیگر انجام میشوند که برای رفع این نقایص از روش تجزیه علیت استفاده شد (Agrama, 1996).
نتایج نتایج همبستگی فنوتیپی: در پژوهش پیش رو روابط بین صفات با یکدیگر بهطور مجزا بررسی شدند. در تجزیه همبستگی مطالعة حاضر براساس جدول 2، به کمک روش همبستگی پیرسون صفت ارتفاع بوته با صفات تعداد شاخه (**781/0)، وزن تر کل بوته (**849/0) و صفت وزن خشک کل بوته (**924/0) همبستگی مثبت و معنیداری داشتند؛ یعنی ارتفاع بوته میتواند صفات تعداد شاخه، وزن تر و وزن خشک کل بوته را متأثر کند. صفت تعداد گل در بوته نیز همبستگی مثبت و معنیداری را با تعداد برگ (**735/0)، وزن تر تک ساقه (**95/0) و وزن خشک تک ساقه (**901/0) ظاهر کرد. صفت تعداد شاخه نیز قادر بود وزن تر کل بوته (**724/0) و وزن خشک کل بوته (**697/0) را متأثر کند. صفت وزن تر تک ساقه با صفت وزن خشک تک ساقه (**986/0) و صفت وزن تر کل بوته با صفت وزن خشک کل بوته (**856/0) توانست همبستگی مثبت و معنیداری را ایجاد کند؛ یعنی هر چقدر وزن تر تک ساقه بیشتر شود، متعاقب آن وزن خشک تک ساقه افزایش مییابد.

تجزیه رگرسیون به روش گامبهگام برای تعیین صفات با بیشترین اثر بر وزن خشک کل بوته و مشخصکردن سهم هریک از این صفات در واریانس کل، از رگرسیون گامبهگام استفاده شد (جدول 3). رگرسیون گامبهگام برای عملکرد خشک کل بوته بهعنوان متغیر تابع نشان داد صفات ارتفاع ساقه، تعداد برگ و صفت تعداد گل در بوته بهترتیب وارد مدل شدند و با ضریب تبیین تجمعی جدول 4، نتایج تجزیه واریانس رگرسیون را نشان میدهد. با توجه به این جدول، ضریب رگرسیون در سطح احتمال 1 درصد معنیدار است. درواقع، معنیدارشدن ضریب رگرسیون جدول، به این معنی است که تغییرات متغیرهای ارتفاع ساقه، تعداد برگ و صفت تعداد گل در بوته بر عملکرد خشک کل بوته اثر معنیدار دارد؛ بهگونهایکه کاهش و افزایش مقادیر مربوط به این متغیرهای مستقل، بهطور معنیداری سبب تغییر عملکرد خشک کل بوته میشود.

تجزیه علیت در تجزیه رگرسیون گامبهگام با در نظر گرفتن صفت عملکرد خشک کل بوته بهعنوان متغیر تابع، سه صفت ارتفاع ساقه، تعداد برگ و تعداد گل در بوته وارد مدل رگرسیونی شدند و از این صفات برای محاسبه و تعیین اثرات مستقیم و غیرمستقیم بر صفت عملکرد خشک کل بوته استفاده شد. بیشترین اثر مستقیم را صفت ارتفاع ساقه روی عملکرد خشک کل بوته به میزان 747/0 گذاشت. همچنین این صفت توانست همبستگی مثبت و معنیداری به میزان **924/0 با صفت عملکرد خشک کل بوته ایجاد کند. میزان اثرات مستقیم و همبستگی (اثر کل) صفات تعداد برگ و تعداد گل در بوته بر متغیر عملکرد خشک کل بوته در جدول 5 و شکل 1 مشخص است. همچنین میزان و وضعیت اثرات غیرمستقیم هریک از آنها بر صفت عملکرد خشک کل بوته نیز در جدول 5 و شکل 1 نشان داده شده است. کاکایی و همکاران در تحقیقات مربوط به پنبه زراعی از تجزیههای آماری شامل تجزیه رگرسیون گامبهگام و تجزیه همبستگی استفاده و اعلام کردند که تجزیه علیت توانایی تشخیص صفات، بالاترین اثر مستقیم و غیرمستقیم را دارد (Kakaei et al., 2017).

بحث در گیاهان، شناسایی صفات گوناگون، چگونگی عملکرد آنها و اثرات متقابلی که بر همدیگر دارند میتوانند در برنامههای پژوهشی اثر داشته باشد. اطلاعات بهدستآمده از ضریب همبستگی بین عملکرد و اجزای آن، همواره بهعنوان مبنایی برای انتخاب نیاز به تغذیه و عملکرد دانه بالا در برنامههای اصلاحی مفید بوده است. علاوه بر این، روابط بین این صفات را میتوان بهصورت مستقیم و غیرمستقیم با ضریب همبستگی مسیر به شکل معنادارتری تجسم کرد
نتیجهگیری ایران در منطقه خشک و نیمهخشک دنیا قرار گرفته است. در این بخش مستعد فرسایش، کاربرد گونههای متحمل به خشکی و کم نیاز به آب ضروری است. اسپند گونه متحمل به خشکی و از گیاهان زروفیت به حساب میآید که قادر است خود را با مقادیر بارش بسیار کم این منطقه سازگار کند. این گیاه دارای ریشههای نسبتاً عمیق و بخش هوایی مطلوبی بوده است؛ بنابراین، قادر است در برابر فرسایش بادی و آبی مقاومت کند و مقادیر چشمگیری از روانابهای ایجادی را به خاک نفوذ دهد و از فرسایش آبی بکاهد و همچنین با بخش هوایی تولیدی خود میتواند از آسیب ریزگردهای ایجادشده بکاهد. همچنین، گیاه اسپند با خواص دارویی متنوع خود، میتواند در درمان بسیاری از امراض به کار رود. این گیاه دارای فرآوردههایی همچون شربت متادون است که قابلیت صادرکردن این دارو وجود دارد؛ بنابراین، میتوان با معرفی اکوتیپ یا اکوتیپهای مناسب به بازار علاوه بر افزایش راندمان تولید اسانس و آلکالوییدهای این گیاه، استفاده از این گیاه را اقتصادی کرد. با کمک تجزیه همبستگی، تجزیه رگرسیون گامبهگام و تجزیه علیت مهمترین متغیر یعنی صفت عملکرد خشک کل بوته بهعنوان متغیر تابع شناسایی شد و همچنین اثرگذارترین صفات (ارتفاع بوته، تعداد گل در بوته و تعداد برگ در بوته) برای اثرگذاری بر صفت اقتصادی شناسایی شد که میتوان از آنها بهمنظور توسعه و شناسایی این گیاه دارویی ارزشمند در تمامی رویشگاههای کشور اقدام کرد. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
